Which type of voltage is better to use for electric elements in beer equipment
As we know, the voltage can be divided into single phase and three phase. Both is OK to use for beer equipment. But there still have some difference compare with three phase electric power.
For three phase electric power, it only have small electric current, further it is more stable than single phase electric power. But single phase electric power will have bigger electric current, also not stable. So we think three phase electric power is first optional for electric elements in beer equipment, also can save some electric cost in some degree.
Follows let us simply calculate, hope it can helps us understand better. For example 1.5KW motor.
If we adopt 3 phases 208V 60HZ,the electric current will be 1.5KW/(1.732X0.8X208)=5.2A.
If we adopt 1 phase 208V 60HZ, the electric current will be 1.5KW/208=7.2A.
Then we can see the single phase need bigger electric current, also increase the electric cost. Due to the current is not stable, it also influence the electric elements lifetime. So it always is a good thing with 3 phases electric power.
